Heather
Butler has worked with primary children and teenagers in
a church context for over 20 years and will share some
of the things she has learned over that time - both
successes and failures. She is passionate about making
the Bible accessible to young people both in children's
house groups and during the Sunday morning 'slot',
whether in church or Sunday school. Currently she is
involved with all-age family services at her church in
Chesham Bois, Bucks.
At present Heather still teaches in a primary school in
Hazlemere, Bucks on Thursdays and Fridays. On other days
of the week she writes books for children and teachers
and runs RE and Spirituality days in schools across the
UK. She also leads story writing workshops and staff
inset training both in schools and for the Association
of Christian Writers. A keen supporter of Toybox Charity
she occasionally gasps for breath.
Her husband works in the media and is Non-Stipendiary
Minister at their church. They have 2 sons and 1
daughter-in-law who are involved in church outreach and
youth work in their home church and in Peckham.
